thecypriot.com brand was launched in 2008 and founded by two British born Greek Cypriots, a husband and wife team who, like many others, are very proud of their ancestry and being “Cypriot”.

When browsing the internet to find information about Cyprus and its community, it quickly became apparent that no one offered an English language website which specifically catered for Greek Cypriots on a global level. All websites seemed to be tailored to people who lived within a specific region or country. For this reason thecypriot.com brand was born.

Our aim is to inform, entertain and bring together Greek Cypriots from around the world. The site is a unique destination for English speaking Greek Cypriots to come together to find local, national and global information which is relevant to them. Whether it is listings of the latest music releases, information on community events, entertainment news or keeping track of what is happening on the island itself.
